2010~ Happy New Year!!!

I took this week off to kick back and enjoy life's sweetest moments with Schneids and the kids and the grandkids. The snow that has been blanketing the area and decorating my pine trees with Mother Nature's jewels has just added the perfect back drop for some photo ops. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the past couple of snow days!A favorite spot of mine....MY big screen!

Hannah B celebrated her Sweet 17th! Happy Birthday B. Hope this year brings you everything you dream of!

Don't forget to feed our Little friends during these awesome snowy times!

My little Snow Angels.....

Happy New Year Everyone! May your year be blessed with all things wonderful....

Peace.

"OHHHHH Christmas Tree....."

Finished up the shopping and the wrapping today; put a few things under the tree, and stepped back to "sigh". Sweet! Done! And then it was one of those "ohhhhhh Christmas tree, how truly lovely are your branches!" moments. I actually enjoyed the tree, for a few quiet moments today, the sounds of Christmas music playing, the smell of the pine, the lights, and all the memories....the wonderful, wonderful memories...(another sigh)
These are a few of my favorite ornaments. Some are VERY old..like as in 50+ years old...The skiis belong to Schneids when he was a little boy! Don't make ornaments like that anymore!
Tomorrow I..... PLAY!!!

Emma's Christening

Oh the weather outside was FRIGHTFUL....but we managed to see Emma through her Christening in Boston this weekend. Most the weekend consisted of trying to fiqure how we would get from one place to the other, with 4 generations in tow, ranging in ages from 9 months to 84 years! Not an easy task with a foot of snow on the ground and winds blowing 40 mph! We literally blew into St Frances in the middle of the storm Sunday morning...not a car on the street but a very determined family blazing threw the storm to get to the church. Friends and Fam came from all over the globe to be there for Emma...We had family and friends from France, California, New Jersey, Vermont, RI, and of course Massachusetts! Here are a few snapshots of Emma's christening. It was a perfectly wonderful weekend. The city blanketed in snow just added to an already beautiful weekend!

Thanksgiving

Another MEMORABLE Thanksgiving with the kids and their kids....we started with an early morning hike in the Park. We've done a holiday hike or stroll since the girls were little. We love the woods and the way it brings us together to "talk" and catch up, and just to "be" with one another. We feel super lucky to walk across the street and find ourselves on an 8 mile loop around the pond. (Not that we did the whole 8 miles) A walk through the woods with my family by my side, is like "going to church" for me...... So spiritual. So peaceful. It is what life is all about. The family, nature, God's blessings on us, gifts of the heart! Each other....
Here are a few shots of our 32nd Thanksgiving. WoW! Am I getting old! But that's another GIFT. :) Thanksgiving is definately a time to reflect, now isn't it? And I be thankful for this aging body, which struggles to keep up with the Girls now, when it used to "lead" but now it hurts afterwards, but I be Thank Full for it...to the brim! It certainly beats the alternative!

Mermaids of South County

The unfolding of a vision......
Sitting around working on some projects, there's a knock on the door and there is Michaela. She is home from school and here to pick up a dress that she had loaned Hannah last year. She was going to a Halloween party, dressed as Tinkerbell and was going to "cut" the dress and add some wings. "NO, NO, NO I say, NOT until I see my Mermaid vision to completion." She and I had talked about this a few different times, knew it would happen eventually, but at this moment??? So down to the beach we go, and need I say more? So brave she was, because believe me, it was Cold out there! Nor'estern wind blowing COLD!! What a sport she is! I love when friends like this stop by to visit!

"OK" now you can trash that dress, Michaela!
