Indoor State Track Meet

Chariho High sent a couple of their athletes to this year's State Track meet, and they all did very well. The girls sent 3 field eventer's and one Sprinter. Hannah B was the lone sprinter in the 300 meters. I was so nervous for her that I only captured one photo and it's a bit sketchy..but here it is! She did P.R. with 44.4 and finished 9th which was better than she expected. Good job, B! Here are a few other shots of Chariho's Finest..Great job, Chariho! You really performed!

Camden

Today I met Camden! What a perfectly, beautiful newborn. I had lot's of preconcieved ideas for his first photo shoot today. I went prepared with baskets, my little leather Man Chair, and other fun stuff, but Camden would have none of that. So, life played out, and I photographed a bit of an afternoon in the Life with Camden. Mom and Dad don't look like their up nights; they look great!!! Here's a taste of some of the photos from that shoot. I'll be posting the rest on http://www.sevengablesphotography.com/ by the end of the weekend. Thanks M & F, I"ll look forward to our other First Year Sessions!

NYC~Northeast Futsal Championship

We're off to see the Wizard......

No we're not! We're at the Northeast Futsal Championship, representing Rhode Island U16 Girls. But while we were there we had a blast exploring NYC. It took a village to navigate, subways, trains, Ferries (that didn't run on the weekends) We saw the Statue of Liberty..

We were a little surprised to find that the ferries weren't running into Manhatten from Liberty Park so we were only able to catch the back side of the Lady until of course we got into Manhatten, and we finally got a shot of the front!

Kids and adults alike were delighted. And you should have been there to share in Steve's excitment when, thanks to our Tour Guide, Jenny from the Block, he got a glimpse of the Empire State Building! Sorry, Steve, I definatley over exposed this one, but it was there, we saw it.....

and then with a tear in his eye, he turned for one last "look" and said, "I was a little dissappointed".
Deb and Abby drooled over some jewelry, while window shopping....while others shared some hilarious moments on the subway.

Oh and yes, we did play some Futsal, and what a weekend it was! Thanks, ALL, for the memories. Check out http://sevengablesphotography.com/ for the rest of the photos.

Alexa

And here is Alexa! Welcome to the world Princess! Alexa came with her pal, Milo to the studio for their first photo shoot. I photographed their moms while they were awaiting these two beautiful babies. As I mentioned in Milo's post, they cried alot together, but in between their little melt downs, we were able to capture some very dear, sweet expressions. Oh Alexa, you are perfect! Lots of Adorableness going on here..

Steve + Chris = Love

Yesterday I hit the road with Steve and Christin to capture their one of a kind romance for their engagment photos. I've had the pleasure of knowing Christin her entire life, and well, almost Steve's, since these two met and fell in love for the first time during their middle school years. Holy Smokes! This romance of theirs, took them many different places, through many different times of their lives, and whether they were together or apart, deep down within their hearts they always knew they would spend the rest of their lives together. Yesterday, for me, was a celebration of this love as I presented them with my engagement gift.....What else: An engagement Session!! Oh, we shot photos around town; some familiar places, and some not. Ohhhhh, and we had a few good laughs, now, didn't we?? Here's to Chris & Steve, may you live happily ever after.
I love you both! And I'll look forward to shooting your wedding!

Here's a sneek preview for you. Check back to the website by the end of the week to see the rest. http://www.sevengablesphotography.com/

Milo

Then came Milo! Look at this little guy! I photographed Milo's mom when she was just weeks away from giving birth, and a few months later she brought him back to my studio for his very own photo shoot. And he did not come alone; he came with his little friend, Alexis. (Keep an eye out for her photos...) They would each get crying and send the other one off, so at one point it sounded like a nursery! And I LOVED it! I was surprised when I realized how many "happy" faces we actually captured and what fun we had.

Buster

I know I'm a little nuts when it comes to the animals, but Buster really had us scared this week. He had to have an emergency treatment to survive. His kidney's were all backed up! Poor Buster! But he's home now and we'll take good care of him. Hospital bed, treats, warm by the hearth...Look at this handsome devil??
