Flip Flop Farm

Took a trip over to Flip Flop Farm and so glad I did. The baby goats and piglets were just born. Tons to see, and the fresh eggs are to die for! Stop by and pick up a dozen or 2. Thanks Rachel for sharing your land and animals with us yesterday. Here are a few of the shots I took of your "family".
I think my favorite was your pot belly pig. She is absolutely adorable!

Family Shoot

Happy Birthday Tammy!
Here is a preview for you. I should have the rest up by day's end!

Tammy commissioned me to take her family portrait as a Birthday present to herself! How awesome is that? The next time someone asks you what you want for your birthday or Anniversary, think about this.....We spend how much on a massage or a manicure, a dinner out?? And "Bam", it's gone the next day! A family portrait, will last a lifetime, and can be passed down to our children, and their children, and on and on....I have so many beautiful portraits of my children's Great, Great Grandmother, and Great Aunts and Uncles, and all these photo's come with their own story. A bit of our past.
What a beautiful family this is!!!

Girls Night

Late afternoon and the phone rang...."Want to go fishing? The fish are in the pond!"

"Of course, I'll grab Hannah B!" And off we went .....the wind died and the temperature was perfect, as the sun began it's "goodbye" the pond changed colors, as did the sky, and then the Fun began!
"Get the net, B!!!" Little did we know that our B would be a little nervous of the frisky little fish, so the first one got away! But there were plenty!!! NO keepers, but good sizes, and so much fun. Thank you Dorothy. We had a blast! Can't wait for our next adventure!

State Championship

Ok, so they say it takes a Village to win a State Championship! At least, a whole bunch of hard working, determined, never-give-up, tough, talented ladies. And of course, their very cool, caring, always fun loving parents, because after all, it's these parts working together that help make up the Village that wins Championships, right? AND not one, not two, but FOUR State Championships! AND, this particular village is special because it has it's very own VILLAGE IDIOT! We're special alright!

All kidding aside, Ladies, you were amazing! You knew what to do because you've had the best coaching there is. You've always had coach's who believed in you and let you have fun! So thanks for today! Now we're all headed to West Virginia to represent little Rhodie against some very tough and big states, in the Regionals, but because you've got so much heart, and LOVE for the game, we know you'll represent us well! Congratulations! Here are some pictures of today's celebration. NO, no shots of the game; I was too busy pacing, to be thinking about photos! I love you all! These are some happy faces! Thank you Alex, for all the time and commitment to this team!

Meghan & John & .....

Such joy when Meghan called me and asked me to shoot her maternity photos! I met her mom when we were both about Meghan's age, so it was extra, extra sweet. Looking through the lens there were moments when I just had to stop and sigh *....I see your face, S, in this beautiful daughter of yours!

Thanks so much John and Meghan, for inviting me to your home, and sharing this piece of heaven with me. Your farm is just so peaceful. A GREAT place to raise a little one! Here's a sneek peek of some of my favorites from our session together. More to follow on my website...by the end of the week!

Stoked

I'm stoked with the arrival of my new glass. 50m 1.4. I still have my 1.8, but I don't see it getting on my camera much anymore. Sorry, old Pal! Of coures, Sophie and I went out shooting immediatley just LOOKING to see what we could find..Yup, the bleeding hearts are putting on a show, and so is the Viburnum, Carlessi, over by the rose arbor, which smells so heavenly!!!!!!!

Seriously, is there anything more amazing than the Bleeding Heart? They have always been one of my fav's..the little jewels that they are! Oh, ok, no diamonds for this girl, just jewels like these.

Rays in Ft Adams

Fort Adams in Newport is our Home field, and it is amazing!!! Breathtaking scenery; with sail boats floating by in the background. Its sometimes hard to watch a game when there is so much beauty all around! But this past weekend it was really awesome...the girls played on a recently "rolled" field, thanks to Chris, but the "Dandy Lions" were all over the place! I love this snapshot of Cassie...chasing down the ball.

Here are a few others of my fav's..to see more go to http://www.sevengablesphotography.com/ ~ Gallery's~Sports~Soccer

Victoria

I don't know....sometimes there are just no words to describe the feelings one has when one has been in the presence of such beauty.
Hannah and I set out to make Victoria's photo shoot one she'd remember for a long time, and we were so determined to capture her beauty. It wasn't too difficult as you can see!!! This Girl, she's got it! She's really got it going on! Pure beauty! Eyes to the soul....Such Strength! She is gorgeous through & through. Victoria was diagnosed with cancer this winter and just recently finished her chemo! She's looking ahead to soccer, proms and all the other stuff our girls should be thinking about.
We are hosting a Marathon Mini Photo shoot at Seven Gables, on June 13th, with 100% of the proceeds going to Victoria, to do with WHATEVER SHE WANTS! Contact us if you would like to schedule a 20 minute session with us in the gardens.
I hope you enjoy these, Vicky, they are a sneek peek. More to come...
