Christmas 2008

Christmas was a blast this year! We started celebrating Christmas Eve at Brooke and Kevin's, where little Grayson was able to be in his own house, enjoying his own tree, while we were able to kick back and take it all in ....the wonder of it all.

The SISTER'S got crazy, as usual....Kev and Cyril, did you have any idea what you were in for????

How they "delight" in each other. If there were only ONE thing I was able to say I'm grateful for; it would be this! Their true love for each other, their undying respect of each others differences, the joy they exude when they are together, being themselves, laughing SO HARD. (accidents happening). Always fun, always enjoying life and each other. Thank you, Girls, for your devoted love towards one another. It's hard not to think of Mary, and miss her when i see you 3 being "crazy", but then i am quickly reminded that it is in honor of her, of our Sisterhood, and, oh how she'd love that!!
I hope you'll always continue to be there for each other. But of course, you will!

From there we went on to to celebrate Christmas morning..

Little Buddy in his long johns! Oh my!

The picture of adorableness! He is so in love with Grandpa, isn't he?

We also pulled off a baby shower for Miss Cait and a surprise birthday party for Hannah B.

Memories....

Another rather "perfect" Christmas week! With all the different celebrations this month, i think of all the friends and family who came and gathered with us! Must have been 100!! Thanks to all who helped make Christmas 2008 so memorable!

Here's To All Good Women

Here's to All the Good Women..............
May we know Them;
May we be Them;
May we raise Them!
Happy New Year to all of you!

Brooke's 30th

Kevin threw a SURPRISE party for Brooke this past weekend at our house. Of course, she wasn't surprised becasue if there is one thing this family does REALLY well, it's NOT keeping a secret. Why is that? Actually, this time no one spilled the beans, instead Brooke found the list of names that Kev had been keeping. She was surprised by a few things tho. Joel came down from Boston, and Candy and Jess showed up too~ But what really blows my mind is that I have a 30 year old, and that's how old I am, so how can that be???
Here's a few snapshots of the evening.
Great cake, Kev!
On the morning of Brooke's birthday we went down to the Beach, where it all "began".
One of the first places Brooke took Kevin when she brought him home to meet the Fam and it is where they were engaged, and then finally where they were married. We took a family portrait on that beach on a cold and very windy December morning. A portrait that Brooke had created in her mind for the perfect spot over the mantle. She knew EXACTLY what she wanted. So it happened that way! Hope you like it Sweetie!

Lame attempt

I had the awsome pleasure of photographing Kelly's family. We met at their B & B in Narragansett. Great spot!! "Cummings Inn" down by the Pier. If you are ever looking for a sweet spot, walk to the ocean be sure to call them up! They are located at 83 Kingstown Rd in Narragansett.

Here is my pretty lame attempt at making a christmas card for them. And here are their babies, the very handsome Bailey, and the lovely Miss Holly (appropriatley named)

Have a wonderful Christmas Kel. It was wonderful meeting the whole Fam. Their all as sweet as you!

Waiting....

It blows my mind watching my girls growing up and having their children. Today we all woke up to the first fallen snow of the season. Cait looking more and more beautiful to us with each passing day, full of joy and wonder with the thoughts of what's to come, taking such good care of her and her baby.

Then Grayson came down for a visit, knocking on the family room window, eyes shining with amazement! "Come outside Grandma and Adar" Come see the snow!"

We are truly blessed with these children of ours, and their children.

Thank you, kids for all the happiness you've given us. There is nothing more I need than you.

Simple abundance.

Joy.

Family.

Love.

Little Boy Blue

What can I say about this first full year with Grayson?? He has brought so much joy to our family. He's now walking and talking, and at 14 months he's caught up to all his "full term" peers. What a great blessing he is to all of us. He puts up with my antics, and has gotten quite used to my lens in his face everytime I'm with him. This was a series of shots i took of him in his Little Boy Blue outfit. Is this not the picture of innocence?

And how he loves his "paci". I love you too, Little Buddy.

Ladies, if you can still fit in that wedding dress, don't miss out on this. Check out the full gallery in a week or so, to see all the photos of Miss Kayla; Queen for the Day! Evelyn

Little Evelyn paid a visit to the Studio yesterday. She was perfectly adorable and she had so many expressions...We would put her in the grass and she'd last a few minutes then take off crawling..exploring leaves and flowers. Here's a few shots, Annie to show to Ryan. I should have your Gallery up in a day or two!

Trash The Dress

Seriously Ladies! Can you imagine the fun this is? Brooke put that dress on and ROCKED! She climbed trees, rode bikes, jumped in the creek, swung from the rafters of a covered bridge. Please check back on my website soon to see all her photos. You won't believe the fun we had until you do yourself! Awesome job, Brooke! You look better than ever! :)It's occured to us that the Seniors could do the same thing with their prom dresses. Honestly, Ladies, you won't be wearing them again. I promise. Put them on, and let's have some fun!

One Word.....GRACE

One Word...

"GRACE"

Pure and simple

:)

Al and Katie

This week I was so blessed and so happy to be able to capture some of Al and Katie's special moments as they celebrated their marriage on Blue Shutters beach, surrounded by family and close friends. Being in their presence one realizes quickly that few words are necessary, as their smiles and their eyes speak volume's. I definitely didn't have to say to these two, "Smile!" This is an understatement!

"I love thee,
I love but thee,
With a love that shall not die,
Till the Sun grows cold,
And the Stars grow old"

Winners

Congratulations, Girls! You really worked hard and yesterday you showed yourselves and all your fans that you are WINNERS. Oh, we always knew you were, but you needed to BELIEVE it for yourselves.

Winner's Creed

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but think you can't, it's a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost;
For out in the world we find Success begins with a personal will. It's all a state of mind.
Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster hand; But sooner or later the person who wins
Is the one who thinks "I can"

The Boys

The Boys stopped by the new Studio tonight, and I was able to fire off a few shots of them. Miles, The Mastiff is ony 8 months old and his head is already bigger than Grayson who at 10 months is Miles Best Friend, Big Brother, Partner in Crime.....For a huge dog who will weigh close to 200 lbs when he's through growing, he is one gentle giant around Grayson. Well thank goodness for that!!! They are pals. Getting Miles to sit still on the white paper was no easy task, but eventually he calmed down enough to sit Grayson beside him. Adorableness!

On The Pond

On the pond twice this week. No fish, but I was able to "catch" Dorothy practicing some yoga on the bow of her new boat. What a sight to behold. A beautiful woman, a beautiful mind, and a wonderful friend. Thanks for the opportunity to land some photos of our spectacular enviroment. We grabbed photos of Jelly fish, Firey red coral, Blue Heron, Snowy Egret and birds I'd never even seen before. But no fish!! :) I'll look forward to many more boat rides, Dorothy. Again, thank you for sharing what makes you so happy. I understand! I really do!

Dog Days of Summer

The Dog Days of summer are here. The flower gardens are winding down, though Schneids's vegetable garden is "kickin". Plenty of tomatoes, rasberries, blueberries, carrots, peppers, and fresh herbs. Autumn is just around the corner....I can tell; the nights are cooler, the skies have been gorgeous!!! The most beautiful 3 dimensional "pluffy" clouds against the bluest of blues which is making for some really spectacular sunsets. I am chasing sunsets of late and last night I final got a self portrait that I like. Actually, i really can't call it a self portrait, as my friend and mutual photog geek, Mary Alice, took it of me last night down at the Quonnie Breachway. Blessed again by Mother Nature in all her glory. Heart stopping beauty. A perfect day!

The studio should be complete by September 1. Until then the living room has been turned upside down, couches removed, strobes, and background stands in their place. Hannah said "MOM, you can't do this! This is our living room!" I smiled and said, "Watch me, I'm chasing a dream, Hannah. And someday you will too!" (She's now one of my #1 supporters.) I love you, B!

The Sisters

No one can imagine the magical time I had photographing "The Sisters", unless of course you've had a Sister....These 3 were amazing. Their love for each other filled the beach, the sea, the sunset. God painted a perfect background for these photographs. We had an orange sunset,

and then Mr Moon rose over the bluest of water, and he was PINK. Perfect! Thank you Cassie for your call. It was a pleasure meeting you all. I hope your Mom enjoys these surprise photos for her Birthday. Let me know how it goes...

Sunday, June 22, 2008

I had the pleasure of photographing the Three Amigas this weekend. It was "girlfriend" weekend. What beautiful ladies they are! Quite different "OFF THE FIELD"!! We had lots of laughs, didn't we?? And all they had to say was "Too bad we don't have some Mexican hats!" Guess what? We do!
Thanks for the laughs Girls!

Pure Enjoyment

It has been Pure Enjoyment the last couple of weeks. I have met the most wonderful family's. I was blessed to meet and photograph the very handsome addition to the R family! What a gorgeous, perfect baby! To think just a few short weeks ago we were photographing Mommy's belly! Wow. Welcome to paradise Alden! Its quite apparent how much your family loves you! May you thrive!

And of course, there was 3 month old Natalia with her many expressions! Some day we'll tell you how nutty we were acting; trying to get you to smile at the lens, Natalie! We had lots of fun. Your a perfect little princess and you behaved so well. Who needs to smile when you have eyes like that!! I hope you'll come back to visit for more photo shoots, and we can watch you grow!

Then there was the Davin family, with the photos shot on their location, which is stunning. We had some fog, even some drizzle, but we also had lots of laughs! Thank you, Davin's!

~ And the Kendall family. Surprise for Fathers Day! Hope you'll enjoy the pictures, Doug, as much as i enjoyed taking them. You've got a beautiful family!

Reg, Correen, B, all it took was a couple cold beers and we settled right in, didn't we??? I think little B is adorable!! Personable, easy going, and absolutely charming. Come back and see us soon!

Happy Fathers Day to all our Dad's. Let's celebrate them for their love of family, their hard work and dedication. I know my girls will be celebrating theirs! We love you, Schneids! And now your a Grandpa! xoxo

Pure Enjoyment

Grayson, my Little Buddy. Will you remember Peek a Boo in the ferns? Will you remember Grandma putting you in the Urn or the Bird bath?? As Cait so sweetly asked, "Will we EVER get over how adorable he is?" No, never.

You've given a whole new meaning to the word "Grandma".

I love you, Gray Bird.

xoxo

State Champions 2008

This past weekend our girls won their 3rd consecutive State Championship. The soccer God's were looking down on them as they beat Bruno 2-0. What a team they are. Champion hearts, everyone of them! Of course I was way too into the game that i forgot about the pictues, until the very last minute or two when the Ref blew his whistle. The team will go on to the Regional Championship's which are held in Maine in June. YOU GO GIRLS!
